FORM NINE

FORM 9: It is derived from the FORM 1 by adding a prefix "Hamzat al-wasl" and also by doubling the third root letter. For example, the red is aHmaru. By doubling the third root letter, it becomes "aHmarra" and by adding "Hamzat al-wasl" it becomes "iHmarra." It is usually used for expressing colors. iHmarra = to be red or to become red. The exemplary verb if'Alla is used for conjugation.

* يَبْيَضُّ - إِبْيَضَّ (ibyaDDa, yabyaDDu )[b-y-D][ ب -ي- ض][FORM-9](To be white) 12:84 ibyaDDat = (his eyes) turned white.

* إِخْضَرَّ - يَخْضَرُّ (ikhDarra, yakhDarru)[kh-D-r][خ-ض-ر][FORM-9] (To become green) 22:63 mukhDarratan = green.
